Employment law update webinar

The tribunals and courts have continued to give their judgments on employment matters throughout lockdown.  Our Andy Knorpel partnered again with Alexander Lloyd to present the next in their series of lunchtime webinars.

For the most part, he looks at what he considers to be some of the most important cases for HR practitioners so far in 2021 relating to disciplinary investigations, equal opportunities training, the effect of TUPE on splitting contracts and COVID-related dismissal.  

There are some very important cases which he doesn’t cover, including those relating to employment status (which were dealt with in another recent Alexander Lloyd webinar) and payment of the NMW during sleep-ins.  Other recent cases which he deliberately didn’t cover involved a very important judgment that a gender-critical belief can be a protected philosophical belief.
